Play Tee-ball with The Melville Mariners
The Melville Mariners are based on Marmion Reserve in Myaree.
The season starts at the beginning of term four with training starting in September before the school holidays so children can get familiar with the ball and which way to run!
The club’s philosophy is for children to have a fun and positive experience, not to play for sheep stations. The positions on the field and batting line up are rotated every week so every little Mariner gets a go at every position to improve confidence and skill, saying that, there is the opportunity of playing state championships which children can try out for if they want to take the sport further in a competitive way.
Rookieball begins Friday, October 11.
U11 & U12 Tee-ball starts Friday, October 11th.
Machine Pitch starts Friday, October 11th
U7, U8, U9 & U10 Tee-ball starts October 12.
Registrations for the 2024/2025 Season are now open

Machine
Pitch
Are your children almost ready to take those next steps to Baseball or Softball? Then why not try out Machine Pitch!... It's the perfect introduction to those higher skills.
What is Machine Pitch?
Machine Pitch is a fabulous crossover between tee ball and baseball. It is for girls and boys aged 7-10 years and gets them used to hitting a moving ball.
The ball is ”pitched” or flicked from a simple lever machine, operated by an adult. There are modified rules for the first half of the season.
By the end of the season the kids will be hitting like a pro!
Players can only register for Machine Pitch after registering for Tee ball.
